VINTAGE 1960s – 1970s BLUE & WHITE GOODYEAR TIRES “FLYING SHOE” DEALER OUTSIDE WALL PORCELAIN SIGN SECTION ONLY. This porcelain blue and white GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO. Winged “FLYING SHOE” sign section goes on the side of a GOODYEAR TIRES dealer’s building along with the large blue letters spelling out G O O D Y E A R. If you have the letters but do not have the “FLYING SHOE” as is offered here, your sign assembly is incomplete. If you have just the “G O O D Y E A R” letters, and want to increase the value of your holdings, here is your chance to make it happen. MEASURES 30 1/2″ LONG x 9 1/2″ TALL. Wear and condition on this sign is consistent with age and use. Top edge of shoe WINGS has a 2″ long x 3/16th” to 1/2″ wide chip on top center edge as shown and a 1/64″ x 1/16 chip on the tip of the WING as shown. No bends or cracks. Please look over photographs as they are part of the description. The “blue” of the sign is showing a little lighter than it really is so as to show more surface aberrations.
