VTG GoodYear Porcelain Tire Sign Letters & Wingfoot ORIGINAL LARGE Station Shop. Came from an old tire and repair shop in Wisconsin. Been in storage for years before I took care of years of paint that had been piled on the letter fronts. Sadly-the previous owner didn’t handle the sign pieces carefully just prior to the sale and the chips in the porcelain occurred. (That’s the real brick wall in my basement and that’s a full-size child’s pedal car for perspective). The white porcelain is shiny and has no scuffs-but you can see the chips. The edges of the letters also have some expected wear as this sign was a store-front display sign outdoors for decades. Two of the keyhole-hangers are missing from the back of the “R”, but could be easily replaced and it can still be hung with the two intact. I do not have the exact year of this signs manufacture, if you know the color changes and year ranges for Goodyear signage-please let me know. Display this beautiful set in your shop of long wall of your mancave. These aren’t often available complete. If displayed outside-you’re sure to gather some attention! Despite the chips, the sign will show beautifully and you can’t deny one of the most recognizable tire brand names ever established.
