Vintage Tire Insert Gas Station Repair Shop Metal Signs 5 Piece Lot
This listing of old tire inserts is from a service station that closed in the early 1960’s. This collection of signs was in a decaying cardboard sleeve, with a few others, inside a tattered cardboard box. Packing label now missing, but the box read PHILLPS MASTER CARTON (yes, misspelled that way). These are 16 in diameter, with metal tabs on the back that rotate out to maintain a lock with a tire on display. These are (steel) metal signs (magnet will stick), not aluminum. This five-piece grouping was in one stapled sleeve. Yellow background with GUARANTEED WITHOUT LIMIT as to time or mileage. White/Cream fading background TRADE FOR TWO.
