Rare Vintage Batavia Rubber Tire Co Banner Sign NY Gas Oil Canvas Station
Vintage service station canvas banner for the Batavia tire Company in Batavia New York. Very good condition for its age. I’m guessing 1910’s or early 1920’s. Canvas is not brittle or flaking paint. There is some paint loss which is noticeable when you hold up in front of light, you can see through a bit. One larger spot of loss at the bottom of the V as pictured. Grommets are all intact. Canvas could use a professional backing and a cleaning if you choose, but is a killer piece of gas and oil advertising as it sits. Measures nearly 34″ tall and 104″ long.
